Open Up A Restaurant

im goin to open up a restaurant in Michigan?
Ive been looking and i cant seem to understand what everything i need to be a licensed business owner is. like all the forms and stuff so i dont get shutdown at all in anyway shape or form. please help me with every form i need and i will try to help you in any reasonable way. thank you.
This economy makes now one of the worst times in a long time to try any new business venture. It’s not easy to beat the odds but if you find your niche, anything is possible. I helped an employer years ago shift into food service (adding a deli to an existing store). We first contacted one of our main suppliers to see how they could assist us with general supplies-both food and fixture. From there they set us up with a rep to give us his presentation and from our discussions he gave us a lot of tips and leads on licensing, etc. Outside of his help I contacted the local health department. I got in contact with someone for an initial visit to show them rough ideas for our set up. He was quite helpful with early suggestions for things we hadn’t even considered-where best to NOT have sinks, to install wall coverings that were easy to wipe down, what the locality required of us on our packages, licenses we’d need, etc. He gave us other leads but he turned out to be our most important resource as he would also be the one person that could shut us down if we were doing things wrong. Hope that helps.

The Restaurant Dream?: An Inside Look at Restaurant Development, from Concept to Reality. $21.41 Each and every year, countless numbers of individuals choose to act on their life-long dreams and open a restaurant. Many of these aspiring restaurateurs are engaging in this activity for the first time, and unfortunately they make mistakes which frequently and unnecessarily doom their fledgling business. Many of these mistakes, however, are easily avoidable. The shelves are full of books about restaurants. Some offer advice on operations and menu planning. Some contain inspiring photographs of interior and exterior spaces. Others share the details behind one concept or individual’s success story. But while it may be hard to believe, comprehensive information available on the restaurant development process is limited. The establishment of a new restaurant concept is full of emotion, surprises, frustration, risk, and satisfaction which simply cannot be conveyed in a textbook format. The Restaurant Dream? is based on a true life account of a team’s effort to develop a restaurant concept from the ground up. It is written in the form of a story, which interweaves educational material with real-life events, and the unexpected twists and turns we experienced. It is this story format that will engage you as the reader with the material available. From elation to deception and camaraderie to lawsuits, this book shows the surreal components of opening a restaurant are not uncommon – just not frequently shared. This book will share strategies and logic, successes and failures, and aspiring restaurateurs will learn from our efforts and improve their own likelihood for success. |
